ABOUT THE EVENT
Celebrating its 31st year, the Turkey Trot returns to Downtown Baton Rouge on the morning of Thanksgiving 2017. This race is a local thanksgiving tradition – one that servers the community by keeping them active and fit through racing and partner with the March of Dimes as a fund-raiser to help their organization both financially and by spreading the word about the work they do.
Last year’s race was a tremendous success. The race grew in numbers of participants and was again the largest registered field for March of Dimes in 30 years. We’d love to surpass that in 2017. The team at FRESHJUNKIE Racing is committed to the continued growth and success of this Baton Rouge staple. We are working hard to accommodate the growing numbers and make everyone’s Turkey Day a little more special.
OUR SPONSORS ARE TERRIFIC…
Subaru of Baton Rouge provided the lead vehicle and lots of fun door prizes. If you haven’t checked out a Subaru, you owe it to yourself. Subaru vehicles are made for those of us that “run around” a lot.
Orangetheory Fitness was superb and accommodating with packet pickup. When the rain came on Wednesday they allowed us inside in order to keep distributing packets. Please go check their studio out and tell them you ran the BR Turkey Trot to get a FREE intro class.
Team Patel is always a great supporter of FRESHJUNKIE Racing and endurance events around the state. Dr. Samir Patel specializes in pain management, low back pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and chronic neck pain. You can see him at the Neuromedical Center Clinic in Perkins Rowe. Thanks, Samir for all that you do for us athletes!
SAVE THE DATE!
The 31st Annual Baton Rouge Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017. Registration will open around Labor Day in 2017.
